Metallica Announce India Tour-2011






Los Angeles thrash metal pioneers Metallica will play two dates in India this October. Confirmed via the band’s website yesterday, the quartet will play F1 Rocks in Gurgaon and a date in Bangalore under the Sonisphere banner. The official announcement comes on the heels of bassist Rob Trujillo’s revelation that the band would play the country later this year. According to the announcement, tickets go on sale May 4.

IPL- Decan Chargers

Deccan Chargers (Telugu: డెక్కన్ చార్జర్స్; Urdu: دکن چارجرز) known in short as DC or 'Chargers' is a cricket franchise that represents the city of Hyderabad in the Indian Premier League.[1] They won the Second season held in South Africa in 2009. The team is led by Kumar Sangakkara and coached by Darren Lehmann, former Australian Test and One-Day Cricketer.

They finished last in the inaugural season of the IPL, and as the champions in the next season.

The Deccan Chargers franchise is owned by the Deccan Chronicle corporation. The media group acquired the franchise for an amount of USD 107 million on 24 January 2008. Later, another media group, Group M India picked up a 20% stake in the franchise.

IPL- Kolkata Knight Riders

Kolkata Knight Riders (Bengali: কলকাতা নাইট রাইডার্স; often abbreviated as KKR) is the franchise representing Kolkata in the Indian Premier League, a Twenty20 cricket tournament.
                                           The official theme of the team is Korbo, Lorbo, Jeetbo Re (Bengali for We will do it, Fight for it, Win it) and the official colors are purple and gold. As per the recent study done by a UK based brand valuation company, Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) are ranked as the second most valuable franchise brand at US$46 million.[1] Celebrity co-owner Shahrukh Khan’s hard-selling of the KKR brand has counteracted the team’s poor on-field performance.[2] They are the only team to have never made the semi-finals.

IPL- Delhi Daredevils

Delhi Daredevils[1] (Hindi: दिल्ली डेयरडेविल्स) is the Delhi franchise for the Indian Premier League. The franchise is owned by the GMR Group.
                                  During the franchise auction for the Indian Premier League teams, the GMR Group purchased the Delhi Daredevils for $84 million.
                                   Famous Bollywood playback singer Kailash Kher has sung the team anthem - "Khel Front Foot Pe" a.k.a. " Play on the front foot or play aggressively". It is played at every Delhi Daredevils match.

IPL-Kochi Tuskers Kerala

Kochi Tuskers Kerala (Malayalam: കൊച്ചി ടസ്കേഴ്സ് കേരള) is a franchise cricket team that plays in the Indian Premier League (IPL) representing the city of Kochi, Kerala. The team was one of two new franchisees added to the Indian Premier League (IPL) for the 2011 season, alongside the Pune Warriors India. The team franchise is owned by Kochi Cricket Pvt Ltd., which is a consortium of multiple companies. Their first IPL match was against Bangalore Royal Challengers on 9 April 2011 and their first win was against Mumbai Indians on 15 April 2011
